Chief People & Wellbeing Officer

Gina Lau is Catalight’s Chief People & Wellbeing Officer (CPWO). Gina has over 18 years of leadership experience in people strategy and organizational scaling. Most recently, Gina served as the interim chief people officer and strategic advisor for Vot-ER, a non-profit that is expanding civic engagement through healthcare for underserved communities to advance equitable health outcomes. She has also worked with a range of organizations from Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, and startups to drive change through transformational leadership, culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Gina’s approach to her work and life is rooted in expanding opportunities for those who have been historically marginalized, and championing for empathy and equity as table stakes in leadership approaches. She has held board and steering committee positions for the San Francisco Public Health Foundation, International Rescue Committee, and served as a mentor for iMentor, an organization that empowers first-generation students to graduate high school through multi-year mentorship support. Gina has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston University and recently completed the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs.
