John Lake Vice Chair John is a veteran business technology executive and Chief Information Officer (CIO) with more than 25 years of experience leading and scaling organizations through periods of significant growth. Over his career, he has built and modernized high-performing technology functions for both public and private companies, holding executive leadership roles at high-growth innovators including AppFolio, Toast, Intapp, and DocuSign. Known for his strategic approach to enterprise technology and corporate scaling, John also serves as an advisor to multiple early-stage startup companies. As the parent of a son with autism spectrum disorder, John is deeply passionate about helping families successfully navigate the healthcare system, establish lasting support networks and build the life skills necessary to self-advocate and thrive. A Bay Area native, John graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in History and earned his MBA from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. A proud father of three, he resides in Lafayette, CA, with his wife, and enjoys supporting his children as they transition into their own independent lives and next chapters.
