Dr. Vincent Bemmel is a seasoned technologist with over 25 years of experience in the research and development of emerging technology solutions. As the Director of Technology and Innovation at Catalight, he leads the investigation into how transformative technologies can help improve the wellbeing of our client population and their families. Additionally, he conducts evidence-based research using real-world clinical data to uncover clinical insights and enhance client outcomes.

Before his current role, Dr. Bemmel held various leadership positions, driving digital transformation through innovation across different technology-focused working groups of I/DD associations, and continues this important work at Catalight. Throughout his journey, he has remained focused on leveraging advanced technology to deliver increased value to end-users and their environment.

Dr. Vincent Bemmel is a visionary technologist and seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the research and development of transformative technology solutions. As the Director of Technology and Innovation at Catalight, he leads the investigation into how cutting-edge technologies — such as IoT, AI, and wearable devices — can enhance the wellbeing of clients and their families.

He applies his strategic leadership to the behavioral health sector by leading the evaluation, design, and piloting of innovative tools and platforms aimed at enhancing outcomes for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Dr. Bemmel also leads qualitative analysis projects and conducts evidence-based research with real-world clinical data to uncover insights that enhance client outcomes and inform data-driven decisions across the organization. He also serves in leadership roles within the technology-focused groups of two professional organizations dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving outcomes for individuals with I/DD.

Before joining Catalight, Dr. Bemmel held various leadership roles, driving digital transformation across multiple industries. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation, delivering increased value and measurable positive results for people and their environment. Dr. Bemmel holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering.
