Catalight Pathfinders: Sarah Muñoz Article | September 12, 2025 Pathfinders is a new series created to celebrate Catalight employees. Each month, we’ll spotlight an incredible employee working in one of the many diverse roles across our organization — shining light on both their work advancing care within the autistic/IDD community and passions outside of the office. Meet Sarah Muñoz, Psy.D. Can you describe your role at Catalight? I’m a diagnostic evaluator. I assess patients for symptoms of autism and, if they meet criteria, I diagnose them with autism. What is your favorite part about your job and why? I get to play with kids for my job! We blow bubbles and throw balls back and forth, shoot off darts and use Play-Doh. I’m pretty lucky to have the best job in the whole world. What’s one thing you can’t work without? I can’t work without my team. They are so smart and supportive. Everyone pitches in to help when needed and offers guidance without being asked. What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone new at Catalight? Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Everyone I’ve met at Catalight is so open to help and collaborate. What’s your favorite way to start the day? I love to snuggle with my dog! It sure makes it hard to get out of bed though! How do you like to unwind after a busy day at work? I like to unwind by going on a walk with my kids and checking in on all my animals, especially when the weather is nice. If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? The ability to make things grow. My garden is suffering this year Where do you see yourself in five years? Catalight is the best workplace I’ve ever been a part of — I hope to be right here in 5 years.
