Brett Andrews Vice Chair Brett is a nationally recognized executive leader who has dedicated his career to advancing the lives of those less fortunate. For twenty years he served as CEO of San Francisco-based PRC, a much-lauded $35M nonprofit providing comprehensive services to more than 5,500 people annually who are affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, substance use and mental illness. Prior to PRC, Brett served as the executive director for Los Angeles Team Mentoring, Inc. (LATM), a youth-serving organization that matches middle school youth with quality mentors. Earlier in his career, Brett was executive director for Kids n’ U, Inc., a New York-based youth-serving nonprofit organization sponsored by Michael Kors. In 2019, Brett founded and currently convenes the Black Leadership Council (BLC), a collection of over 50 statewide Black leaders from different sectors, seeking to improve conditions for Black Californians and other vulnerable populations across the state. He is a former San Francisco Ethics Commissioner and Co-Chair of the San Francisco Human Services Network and has received the Heritage of Pride Grand Marshal Award, the Leadership Award from the California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus, the Community Impact Award from the San Francisco Community Health Center and the Outstanding (LGBTQ+) Voices Award from the San Francisco Business Times. Brett earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in industrial/organizational psychology from George Washington University. Currently, Brett lives in Healdsburg with his adorable dog, Mad Max.
