Helping Navigate Challenging Behaviors RUBI is a caregiver-mediated behavioral program designed to address challenging behaviors of autistic children between the ages of 3-12. About RUBI RUBI (Research Unit on Behavioral Intervention) Parent TrainingRUBI Parent Training equips parents or caregivers with the knowledge and tools to create a nurturing and structured environment that fosters positive behavior and development in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. This program is a valuable resource for families seeking to improve the quality of life of their children and themselves while promoting their children’s independence and overall wellbeing. Benefits of RUBI Parents/Caregivers works 1:1 with a clinician Proven to reduce challenging behaviors, such as meltdowns, aggression, and difficulties following instructions Effective in promoting independence with self-care and daily routines What Does it Look Like? During each appointment, caregivers work 1:1 with a clinician in order to learn helpful ways to better scaffold and respond to their child’s needs as well as how to successfully navigate their child’s challenging behaviors. Treatment usually includes 12 to 15 weekly appointments.
